Pharmaceutical, Biomedical
Many pharmaceutical operations specify specialty alloys as part of their process. The most common case is stainless grade 316 instead of 304. In certain high temperature applications higher grade nickel or cobalt alloys are specified typically Hast C-376, Stellites, F-75 and others. Many facilities now include alloy verification as part of their FDA Installation Qualification (IQ) or Operation Qualification (OQ) procedures.
In biomedical applications many implants are cobalt alloys (typically F-75 type chemistry) where maintaining tramp iron concentration to below 0.2-0.3% is essential. Or, verification of titanium alloy grade is important. The Innov-X Handheld XRF offers excellent alloy verification for all these applications. Many major pharmaceutical and biomedical facilities use the Innov-X Handheld XRF for fast alloy verification as part of their overall quality program. Key Features:
No radioactive isotopes – all Innov-X XRF systems feature our rugged, miniature x-ray tube technology.
PDA driven – The XRF that operates on the worldwide standard hardware and software platform thus offering seamless integration with company IT infrastructure.
